I love soaking in the sun after I’ve given the house a good clean. Today while tidying up, I thought of a handy tip to share with you. Opening the entire top of a package of zip ties can cause them all to spill into your tool bag, creating unnecessary clutter and making it difficult to find the size you need. Here’s how you can turn an original package of zip ties into a simple, one-at-a-time dispenser. Just cut a small V-shaped notch in the side of the bag close to the head/connector end of the ties. Use this notch as a dispensing opening to pull out one zip tie at a time. The small opening helps prevent the ties from spilling out, even if the bag is turned upside down or shaken. It’s a quick modification that keeps your cable ties contained, organized, and ready to use.
