“Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest Myself on Earth. For the protection of the good people and the annihilation of the evil-doers and to fully establish righteousness, I appear millennium after millennium.”
Similar to the End Times described in the Christian Bible’s Book of Revelation, in Hinduism, the current period of tribulation and degradation that humanity is going through is called “Kali Yuga.” Kali Yuga is the fourth and final stage of the world cycle that follows Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, and Dvapara Yuga. With each passing Yuga, the strength of each of the four legs of Dharma decreases by a quarter due to the increasing influence of the legs of Adharma (or godlessness); namely, lying, violence, dissatisfaction, and quarreling.
The Bhagavata Purana (Srimad Bhagavatam), authored by the great Hindu sage Maharshi Veda Vyasa (vegetarian), describes the predominant traits of the Kali Yuga as follows:
“When there is a predominance of cheating, lying, sloth, sleepiness, violence, depression, lamentation, bewilderment, fear and poverty, that age is Kali, the age of the mode of ignorance.”
“In the Kali age, people tend to be greedy, ill-behaved and merciless, and they fight one another without good reason.”
“Cows will be abandoned or killed when they stop giving milk.”
Maharshi Veda Vyasa also authored the famous Hindu epic Mahabharata, in which the great Muni Markandeya (vegetarian) reveals to King Yudhishthira the weakened state of humans.
“Know, O Yudhishthira, that the period of life, the energy, intellect and the physical strength of men decrease in every Yuga! …And in consequence of the shortness of their lives, they will not be able to acquire much knowledge.”
“…And when men become fierce and destitute of virtue and CARNIVOROUS AND ADDICTED TO INTOXICATING DRINKS, then doth the [Kali] Yuga (Dark Age) come to an end.”
“And PEOPLE WILL, WITHOUT COMPUNCTION, DESTROY TREES AND GARDENS. …And the deity of a thousand eyes will shower rain unseasonably. And when the end of the Yuga comes, crops will not grow in abundance.”
Sadly, these descriptions accurately depict the thoughtless and heartless behavior of today’s humans toward Nature, our friends in the animal kingdom, and the resulting depraved state of the world. We’re given less blessings and abundance in life when we fail to respect the life of others. ETC…
Just like the prophecy about the return of Lord Jesus Christ during the end times in Christianity, ancient Hindu texts describe the appearance of a “Supreme Personality of Godhead” or “Supreme Lord” at the end of the Kali Yuga. Life after life, the Supreme Personality of Godhead has come repeatedly as a different Avatar, or incarnation of a Divine Being.
“At that time (when Kali Yuga ends), the Supreme Personality of Godhead will appear on the Earth…”
“Thus, O King, the Supreme Lord Hari is the Giver of all desirable benefits of life. Intelligent human beings worship the particular forms and names that the Lord manifests in different ages.”
Hindus recognize that Lord Krishna was a manifestation of the Supreme God. In the Holy Bhagavad Gita, the Worshipped Lord Krishna (vegetarian) tells His disciple Arjuna (vegetarian):
“Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest Myself on Earth. For the protection of the good people and the annihilation of the evil-doers and to fully establish righteousness, I appear millennium after millennium.”
It’s prophesied that in the final Kali Yuga, Lord Kalki, the last Avatar, a special incarnation of the Divine will come to restore Divine order and sacred principles, defeat the evil demon Kali and open the new Satya Yuga, the Golden Age.
“…the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the spiritual Master of all moving and nonmoving living beings, and the Supreme Soul of all — takes birth to protect the principles of religion and to relieve His saintly devotees from the reactions of material work.”
“When the Supreme Lord has appeared on Earth as Kalki, the maintainer of religion, Satya-yuga will begin, and human society will bring forth progeny in the mode of goodness.”
This prophecy not only bears a striking resemblance to the Christian prophecy about the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, but also the Buddhist prophecy on the coming of Maitreya Buddha at the Dharma-Ending Age. Both of these incarnations of the Divine have been identified as our Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan), as presented in our previous shows.
The Hindu scriptures also contain clues about the identity of Lord Kalki (vegetarian). Sri Akrūra, a noble devotee of Lord Krishna, offers a prayer to the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
“Obeisances […] to Lord Kalki, the annihilator of the meat-eaters posing as kings.”
This gives a glimpse into the attributes of Lord Kalki. To establish truth and open the Golden Age, Lord Kalki is destined to end meat-eating practices, a purpose that our Most Merciful Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) has long been working toward.
“We have to turn back to our caring and compassionate nature inside our heart. That’s very simple. We are that. We are compassion. We are merciful, we are caring. So, we just have been cheated. We have been misinformed up to now, so we did not know it. Being vegan worldwide is the advancement of compassion that will uplift and unify all cultures, bringing tranquility to humans and animals alike. The inner peace that comes from replacing killing with respect for all life will spread like a wave across the globe, elevate human hearts, and create a harmonious Eden on Earth. That will bring us all to a lasting Golden Era. Bless you.”
Furthermore, in the Sri Kalki Purana, Lord Shiva presents Lord Kalki with three special gifts to equip Him for His mission.
“This horse was manifested from Garuda (a Heavenly bird), and it can go anywhere at will and assume many different forms. Here is also a parrot that knows everything – past, present, and future. I would like to offer You both the horse and the parrot so please accept them.”
“…I (Lord Shiva) would also like to present You this sharp, strong sword and so please accept it. The handle of this sword is bedecked with jewels, and it is extremely powerful. As such, this sword will help You to reduce the heavy burden of this Earth.”
The horse is a means of transportation and a symbol of traveling. This gift could mean Lord Kalki will travel extensively and will be allowed to do so. In this modern era, transportation takes the form of vehicles such as cars, boats, and airplanes. Supreme Master Ching Hai has traveled all over the world in all kinds of vehicles to give public lectures or attend international spiritual gatherings. She has even flown in helicopters. This gift of traveling in freedom and convenience has been given to Master by Heaven to help Her Mission of spreading the Truth and saving the world.
The parrot represents the animal friends who have clairvoyant abilities to assist Lord Kalki. In this life, Supreme Master Ching Hai has befriended animal-people wherever She goes. They often come voluntarily and offer Her help, advice, protection, and sometimes warnings in times of urgency. The loyalty and assistance of the animal kingdom are given to Master to support Her work.
“They know everything in advance. They can see past and future just like I’m reading a book. Sometimes my bird(-people), because I’m busy, I don’t always sit there and look into the ‘crystal ball,’ and I don’t care that much about those things and I’m going about my business, so busy, so my bird(-people) have to remind me that something will happen. Or even the wild animal(-people) they tell me.”
“You don’t know how much she talks to me, this swan(-person). The inside communication… She can see, wow, thousands of years ahead and behind. (Wow.) She tells me who’s good, who’s not good. Whoever comes near, who’s not good. She tells me a lot of things.”
“Not all dog(-people) have this ability, but one of my rescued dog(-people), I kind of picked her up in Thailand from the street. […] She’s very clairvoyant and very powerful inside. She can see the future. About, maybe thirty years ahead of us, she [told] me many things. And later I verify it is true, too. I also know that, it’s just amazing that a dog(-person) should know so many things.”
“A few days ago, the spiders came and told me, […] ‘Don’t be sad. Be happy. Be free. Be safe. Zealous spirits returned to hell.’ 93%. (Wow.) So I said, ‘Thanks all help. Thank God.’ (Thank You, Master.) That was on Thursday, March 26 (2020).”
ETC…
The third gift of a sword to Lord Kalki from Lord Shiva is a weapon of wisdom that can cut away the rotten ignorance of humanity.
“Displaying His unequaled radiance and riding with great speed, He will kill by the millions those thieves who have dared dress as kings.”
“The sword that could drive away malevolent spirits – that means the wisdom. At the time of initiation, when you are imparted with this power, it’s similar to the sword that cuts asunder all the things that have been ailing you, that have been troubling you, that have been attached to you and giving you trouble and obstructions in your life and making you separated from the Tao. That is the sword, the ‘sword of Manjushri,’ the ‘sword of wisdom.’ That doesn’t mean a physical cutting knife.”
“‘The Wisdom Sword,’ specialized for chopping the ego. Very beautiful, isn’t it? (Beautiful.)”
Symbolically, Supreme Master Ching Hai still has this “sword”! The pen. It is “strong and sharp” with which She writes wise counsel for the world, who need it to be enlightened, awakened and wise within and without, thus unburdening humans’ souls and uplifting the energy of our world.
The sword is also a symbol of authority. Gifting Lord Kalki, the incarnation of Supreme Master Ching Hai, a Divine sword symbolizes the fact that Master holds the Divine Power and Authority, much like King Arthur was destined to hold the legendary sword Excalibur.
We’ll continue to explore Hindu prophecies in the next episode.
