In today’s news, Qatari charity distributes food parcels to poor and displaced people in Sudan. US study finds global warming has changed atmospheric lifespan of nitrous oxide, clusters of oyster-people in artificial reef structure found to help protect coastlines from erosion in experiment, Hungarian startup turns hard-to-recycle waste into building materials, senior South African man raises funds to help disadvantaged students cover school fees, vegan microalgae-derived skincare ingredient launched at China exhibition, and three-legged dog-person and kitten adopted together after bonding during recovery in USA.

Here’s a tip on how to lift heavy items properly. Lifting correctly helps prevent compressing the spinal discs and straining your lower back, reducing the risk of injury and long-term damage to your spine. To lift safely, make a wide base of support with your feet shoulder-width apart and one foot slightly ahead. As you lower yourself, bend at your hips and knees only, keeping your back straight, chest out, and shoulders back while looking straight ahead to maintain good posture. Keep the load close to your body around belly-button level and lift slowly by straightening your hips and knees, not your back. Avoid twisting as you lift. When changing direction, use your feet and take small steps, leading with your hips and keeping your shoulders aligned. When setting the load down, do so carefully by squatting with your knees and hips only.

Get onboard! The laughter express is about to depart! Here’s the joke of the day called, “When You Just Go With It.”

James slipped into the office kitchen, looking mildly shaken.

“Kaila… I just spent an hour in the wrong meeting.”

“An hour? Why didn’t you just leave?”

“I was too committed. I even took three pages of notes to look busy.”

“So when did it finally hit you?”

“When they went around the room asking everyone to share updates on the past week’s work… and I went first.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Isabella in New Zealand
