I have a neat tip for us! Did you know water will not boil over if you place a wooden spoon lengthwise across the top of a pot of boiling water? The reason for this is because the spoon repels the bubbles and destabilizes them, causing them to stop rising for a certain period of time — at least until the heat can be lowered. Additionally, the temperature of the spoon is cooler than that of the water and bubbles; therefore, when the bubbles come into contact with it, the steam condenses back into water. Now you won't have to worry about your pots boiling over when you are multitasking!
