We have respect for life, the lives of the animals. And that is why we understand that being vegetarian helps us not to be part of all that [negative] creation there is. Look how they raise chickens. Those poor little animals are stuck in a cage, with the light in front of them all the time. That's what people eat. Do you think that will take us to a spiritual elevation? While we elevate spiritually, we cannot eat meat. It means we should not eat meat. So, how does that help us? First, in not being part of the killing. Because the animals, they are our brothers. They have more consciousness than many of us.
